457 Visa Transfers457 visa holders that are wanting to change sponsor, do not need to apply for a new visa to change their sponsor. It is still a requirement that a new nomination is lodged with DIAC and the nomination must be for the same position as the 457 visa holder has been appointed for. Should a visa holder wish to move to a new employer, then the new employer must be an approved sponsor. You must not commence employment with your proposed sponsor until the nomination application has been approved. A new nomination does not extend the term of your visa.
