Temporary Business Sponsorship (457 visas)
The Business - Long Stay or 457 visa allows Australian businesses that are either based in
Australia or overseas to sponsor recruits and their dependent family members for a temporary visa for up to
4 years. A list of eligible occupations for 457 visas, and a
Threshold Salary Level applies.

457 Visa transfers An
Australian employers can employ current 457 Visa holders (within
the validity of their current visa) without having to apply for a new
subclass 457 visa

Standard Business Sponsor To
sponsor recruits for a 457 visa the Australian Business must be
approved as a Standard Business Sponsor (SBS). The approval lasts
for three years, and the company is not limited to the number of
employees it can sponsor over the three years. As a sponsor the
business must
meet and comply with a series of sponsorship obligations.

Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS)
The Employer Nomination Scheme allows Australian employers to sponsor
foreign employees for a permanent visa. The employees can be either
highly skilled recruits from overseas or highly skilled temporary
residents currently in Australia.

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS)
The RSMS visa is for employment in a regional area. A regional
Certifying Body needs to approve the position. The
RSMS visa is a permanent visa.

Client Portal As a client of AIM you have access to your own client portal that facilitates the following:
- 457 visa holders name and visa expiry dates
- Ability to advise us when one of your 457 visa employees leaves your company
- Ability to notify the Department of Immigration and Citizenship
- Expiry date of being a Standard Business Sponsor
